In this Account Manager role, you will focus on sales to operators and distributors in the areas of Food Service and Industrial within the western United States.
This includes segments across commercial businesses (restaurants) and non-commercial (colleges/universities, business & industry, healthcare).
In addition, the position will lead the industrial channel customers, which utilize our grains as an ingredient in their business.
Primary focus:
customers that value the Lundberg advantageshigh quality, sustainably/organically grown.
This a remote position but must reside within California.
Estimation of approximately 50% overnight travel mostly within the western region.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver the Results - Drive Growth (net revenue, margin, operating profit) Manage the P&L across multiple product segments and channels/customers.
Lead the selling function for food service across the major segments of business:
Commercial accounts (restaurants, especially rice/salad forward concepts) Non-commercial (colleges/universities, business & industry, healthcare) Lead the Industrial sales channel Manage the customer trade spend budget and demonstrate an efficient and effective investment approach.
Utilize and leverage sales data from distributors to effectively understand and lead the business.
Secure placement of targeted Lundberg products in key national distributors as well as key local/regional food service distributors.
Develop and maintain relationships with industrial users of rice and quinoa to identify their needs for these products and develop the means to meet their requirements for volume, product specifications, and price.
Provide sales forecasts to the Operations Team of the predicted by-product volume by each variety and lot.
By-products include hulls, bran, damaged rice and quinoa, fines, rejected rice cakes, and other ingredients not suitable for branded sale.
Collaborate with Finance/Sales to build pricing plan that meets the company's profit thresholds and does not inadvertently provide pricing advantage to a direct competitor.
Stay informed on industrial/food service rice-based products and other general information of interest to customers.
Maintain knowledge of the competitive landscape and suggest new methods/products to retain and build customer base.
Experience:
4
years of sales experience in Food and Beverage Industry with 2
years in the Food Service channel.
Understanding of, or experience with, Industrial sales strongly desired.
Demonstrated track record of hunting and developing new business/customers.
Experience leading fast-growing strategic customers is preferred, with some background in food service sales including commercial and/or non-commercial segments.
Experience leading a broker sales agency is also preferred.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or other related field.
Understand agricultural raw materials/agriculture and food service models, to include working understanding of food service management companies and group purchasing organizations.
Strong analytical skills to assess volume, profitability, customer/trade margins, and internal profit and losses (P&L).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to create compelling presentations that tell the Lundberg Family Farms (LFF) story and leverage advantages.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
